Many of us seem to brace ourselves when the conversation turns to the world we’re living in: constant change, uncertainty, and the feeling that very little is predictable anymore. For many of us, our 40s, 50s and beyond can also create another kinds of uncertainty. It can be a powerful (and sometimes disorienting) awakening when we begin to question old assumptions, reconsider what matters, and realize that some of the roles, identities, and aspects of our lives we’ve spent decades building may no longer fit who we’ve become. We talk a lot about how to manage uncertainty, attempt to control it, or simply survive it. But could you imagine actually THRIVING in uncertainty?
Our gathering was a beautiful night with speaker, author, and transformational leadership coach Meghan O’Malley, M.S. as we explored what it might look like not just to endure these wild and unpredictable times, but to expand our capacity to meet them differently. It was an evening that is really hard to capture in words. It was full of wondering, small partnered guided conversations, and a lot of feeling and possibility.
Bio: Meghan O’Malley, MS, is a former licensed therapist turned transformational leadership coach, TEDx speaker, author, and facilitator whose work explores how we navigate change, uncertainty, and the messy space between who we’ve been and who we’re becoming. Drawing from more than 20 years of experience in human development, including specialized training in somatics, applied neuroscience, and archetypal self-understanding tools like the Enneagram and Human Design, Meghan helps people remember who they really are, connect with a deeper sense of purpose, and expand their capacity to meet the unknown with greater self-trust, connection, and creative potential. She is the co-author of Unstuck Yourself: Thrive Beyond Burnout & Discover Your True Purpose, and her work centers on an increasingly relevant question: How do we build the capacity to follow what’s calling us forward, even when we can’t see where it will lead?
